How to use Xfinity wifi with Chromecast
1: Go to google play store and download the application titled “Wifi pass” by the cyber gatekeeper.
2: After the Installation, open Google home application.
3: Now click the TV in the top right corner to set up Chromecast.
4: Go to the home page. Next, go to the devices option.
5: There you can find the “Chromecast set up” option. Click it.
6: Next you will receive the message that you have successfully connected to your Chromecast.
7: On the next page, it will ask “Do you see the code on your TV?” and click the “yes” option.
8: Make sure guest mode is enabled.
9: Again back to setup page and tap continue option.
10: After that, you will see your mac address in the lower corner. Make a note of it.
11: Then you will receive a popup. Tap OK.
12: Setup Chromecast Xfinity wifi.
13: After setup is successful it might say it can’t discover your Chromecast on the network. Tap OK.
14: Open WiFi pass app and click “Another device”. Enter your Chromecast Mac address you wrote down.
15: Then click the Xfinity option.
16: Open youtube application, wait for Chromecast box to appear. Of it doesn’t appear to use the crackle app, or restart your TV and close out all apps on your phone.
17: Enter pin number.
18: Successfully it was connected with your TV.
Another Method to Connect Chromecast Xfinity Wifi
If you don’t have wifi at home, you want to use your phone’s hotspot or use wifi around your home to use Google Chromecast. You need two devices whether it may be a phone or tablet. With the first mobile, you should disconnect from my Internet. Go to settings> Connections and connect wifi around you have. Find the mobile name and enter the wifi password and put it aside.
Now turn on the second mobile device you have to connect this device to the other one’s hotspot. Hold down on the wifi-symbol and connected it to my home wifi. Then we want to change that to my mobile phones hotspot and click it. Now Go to youtube and you can see the past button at the top. For connecting, it will ask you for a pin. The pin number is located on your screen down.
If you don’t have this pin you need to go into google home and activate gas mode which is in your settings. Enter the pin number and connect it. Now it will cast videos on a TV monitor through the mobile phone wifi.
